Example 157 part A
Lecture Examples
Example 157: The results of a CRD experiment for corn crop yields are given below. The multiple comparison intervals to compare the treatments A, B, C, and D were provided by SPSS. Using the SPSS output below, rank the treatments from lowest to highest, express the results in a diagram using bars to join the means that are not significantly different, and form a confidence interval for the true mean yield (in tons) for the highest of the four treatments.
| Treatments | Yields | |||
| A | 3.7 | 3.6 | 3.5 | 3.5 |
| B | 1.2 | 3.4 | 3.1 | 2.5 |
| C | 0.5 | 1.0 | 0.7 | 0.6 |
| D | 1.3 | 3.0 | 3.3 | 2.6 |
